The IT Management and Business Development Section performs a corporate function within the Treasury. This section has the responsibility for the maintenance of the hardware at the Department. It is also in charge of the IT infrastructure and works in close liaison with the systems managers/administrators of the other two Divisions of the Treasury. This Section is also entrusted with the administration and upkeep of the Treasury website.
The IT Management & Infrastructure subsection carries out the following functions:
Efficient management of the Treasury IT network
Conduct routine data security procedures on a predefined schedule to ensure appropriate data back-ups (internally and externally stored)
Provision of PC co-ordination role to enhance delivery and exploitation of office automation
Manage IT funds allocated to Information Technology and co-ordinate activities relating to contracts with third parties
The Business Development and Web-services subsection has the responsibility to:
co-ordinate all the information systems development projects at the Treasury Department (both internal and external)
instigate change through business process re-engineering projects
implement the Government's e-government initiatives related to the Treasury function
